The electricity is controlled by the key fob; you put this into the holder at the entrance of the property to activate
the power supply. This system helps to conserve energy by only providing electricity when needed. In the event
of no power, please follow the instructions found on the electricity main boards. There are three main boards in
total: one found on the ground floor entrance, one found at the top of the stairs on the first floor, outside the main
bathroom, and one on the landing on the first floor.

There is an eco-friendly solar system at the property, which supplies hot water when the sun is out—this means most
days of the year.

HOW TO HEAT THE WATER ON A RAINY/CLOUDY DAY:

  • Please check the tap first to see that there is no hot water. Allow the water to run for a few minutes. If no hot
water please proceed to the next steps.
  • The hot water switch is located on the first floor landing at the side of the doorway to the bedroom with the single
beds; a sticker will be above this.
  • To turn on, push the switch down.
  • The water will take up to 30 minutes to an hour to warm up. Once the water has reached the desired
temperature, you can begin using it for your intended purpose. It is important to ensure that the switch is turned
off once you are finished to conserve energy

Bottled water is recommended for drinking in this part of Cyprus. Tap water is fine for cooking, showering, etc.
The safety of tap water quality in Cyprus is monitored by the Health Inspectors of the Medical and Public Health
Services of the Ministry of Health and the Local Authorities.

Each air conditioning unit in the property has a switch on the wall with a red light; this is usually located on the wall
below the unit. The switch must be ON for the unit to operate.
To switch on the air conditioning unit, you must be facing the unit with the remote control whilst you press the ON
button, select the temperature you require, and select the snowflake function for cool and the sun for warm.
Please ensure all doors and windows are closed while the air conditioning is switched on; otherwise, it will not work
effectively and result in overheating of the unit, which can cause leakages inside the property as well as excessive
electricity usage. A lower temperature is not advised as it can cause humidity to form, which can damage the
compressor.

You can find the Villa’s first aid kit in the bottom drawer on the left side of the cooker hob.

You can find the fire blanket and extinguisher provided by the villa in the cabinet beneath the kitchen sink.

There is a Traditional Cypriot Rotisserie Foukou BBQ Grill with Skewers and Motor; you can make the traditional
souvla and souvlaki. We kindly ask to make sure all charcoal is completely out cold before disposing.
Charcoal can be purchased from any local mini market or supermarket.

The blinds on the main patio doors in the living area are controlled by a remote control that is set up on the coffee
table.

Cushions for patio furniture are stored inside during the winter and can be found in the entrance hall cupboard. The
rooftop terrace cushions may be found on top of the cupboard on the second floor, above the washing machine. We
respectfully request that you bring all cushions inside if it begins to rain.

To avoid seeing any pests, we urge guests, especially during the summer, not to leave any food items, including
fruits, or food traces on surfaces, which might attract pests. Please keep all food in the refrigerator and clean up any
food traces on floors, tables, kitchens, and so on.

We also recommend that guests keep the bathroom, washbasin and kitchen sink drains closed during the summer,
opening them only when needed and closing them immediately afterwards.

The following items can be located on the second floor landing.

  • Washing Machine
  • Clothes Drying Rack
  • Pegs
  • Irons
  • Ironing board
  • Laundry basket.
